What we do

Public Sector Organisations, in particular, use a number of different routes to market in order to purchase commoditised products and services. This includes:

  • Consortium Purchasing Frameworks – Crown Commercial Service (CCS), Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) and Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)
  • Local Authority and NHS Framework Agreements
  • Spot Purchasing
  • Large end-to-end processes for more complex procurements i.e. Information Assurance and Managed Services.

How we help

We understand the competitive nature of ICT Procurements and in particular commoditised hardware and software based competitions.

Often there is a misconception that only the top VARs with the best pricing, or the supplier who gets the Deal Reg will be awarded the contract.

This isn’t always the case, especially where a tender is evaluated based on the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT), 30% of which the total points available may be down to added value, for example, a smaller more specialist supplier maybe able to demonstrate greater competence and value for money.

This is where Encompass has had most success working with mid-market providers who specialize in a particular solution or service.
