    A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role with operational/project responsibilities, or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting, managing and developing team members
  • Managing projects
  • Planning and monitoring workloads and resources
  • Delivering operational plans
  • Resolving issues
  • Building relationships internally and externally

Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager

    An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieves operational or departmental goals as part of the delivery of the organisation’s strategy. However they should still be accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Creating and delivering operational plans
  • Leading and managing teams
  • Manage change
  • Financial resource management
  • Coaching and mentoring

    The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) is a degree apprenticeship that includes business education, work-based learning and professional development through to Chartered Manager status. It is based upon the published CMDA Apprenticeship Standard and Assessment Plan, and has been developed by a group of employers led by Serco, in liason with a number of Higher Education Institutions and the Chartered Management Insitute (CMI) – the only body that can award Chartered Manager status.

Who is this programme for?

    Entry requirements for all apprenticeships will be decided by each employer, typically this will include maths and English at Level 2, as this must be attained prior to the completion of all apprenticeships listed.

  • BA (hons) Business Management
  • Chartered Manager Status
  • Level 2 Functional Skills English *
  • Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics *

*If you have achieved a Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English or maths then you will be exempt from completion of the Functional Skills element.
